Meeting Our Great Grand-daughter....Kiara Marie

On October 21st of this year, Bruce and I took our journey to Massachusetts to meet our very first great granchild for the first time...... It would be a quick trip down and back, but one we were looking forward to taking..... I couldn't wait to hold our sweet little Kiara in my arms for the first time....... Finally we arrived......... Sarah, "This is your Great Gramma, Kiara. She and Great Grampa Bruce have come a very long distance to meet you" Great Gramma snuggling and getting aquainted with her very FIRST Great Grandchild!!!

Mommy (Sarah) checking to see if Kiara might be getting hungry....

The satisfied look of just finishing her bottle.....

Looking pretty in pink!......

Sleeping in her Mommy's arms......

Looking pretty in purple......

Doesn't she just have the most beautiful eyes!!!.....
Nap time.....

Here's she's sleeping in Great Grampa's arms......

Uncle Micah

OK... no pictures of Uncle Micah and Kiara.... He was too busy keeping the older guys busy outside tossing around the football... here he is with Grampa Bruce.... Micah has a great little arm on him for a seven year old.... He throws the ball a good distance as well as very good at catching it... When I asked him if he was going to be a football player when he grew up, he said "NO"... He wants to play baseball.....

Now is this one handsome little guy or what!!!.... No matter what you do, I'm sure you'll do well Micah.... Gramma loves you bunches and is so proud of you already.....

Aunt Mikayla and Kiara

Mikayla is Lisa's youngest daughter (she's the twin sister to Micah).... Here are Big Sis and Little Sis..... Mikayla loved to hold Kiara..... actually way too much, so we had to keep a close eye on her to make sure she wasn't running off with her somewhere... LOL

Mikayla helping out with feeding Kiara her bottle.....

Aunt Mikayla taking a little break outside.....
Love you Kayla.... Your Gramma's precious little girl... and I just know you're going to make a wonderful Aunty for Kiara.....

Uncle Seth and Kiara

Seth is Lisa's oldest son and my oldest grandson....(He just turned 16 on 10/20)..... The next morning after our arrival, we all went out to breakfast where Lisa works... Here's Uncle Seth helping out with Kiara while Mommy takes a little break...

Uncle Seth and Kiara just hanging out around the house together....

You play your cards right here Kiara, you can have Uncle Seth wrapped around your little finger in no time at all... I think he's already hooked.....

Great-Grampa Bruce & Kiara

What started out as a friendly getting to know each other greeting.... Kiara soon let Great Grampa Bruce know who was really in charge by soaking through her diaper and his shirt and pants..... Nice to meet you Great Grampa.... Thereafter.... Great Grampa was a little cautious when he got to hold Kiara.... But she showed him mercy and no more christening events..... (Although don't you think that looks like a smile of "Got Ya" on her little face??)

Great Grampa still feeling a little cautious here....

Great Grampa asking Kiara if she's got any more surprises for him.....

Starting to relax a little and getting acquainted.......

Happy and content... Kiara enjoying her time with Great Grampa.... She's decided he's "OK" in her book....(Mine too)
It didn't take long and she was sound to sleep..... Good going Great Grampa....
Time for Kiara to go beddy-bye....

Four Generations....

My grandson, Seth, took this picture on the first evening of our arrival.... (Left to right)... My daughter Lisa, her daughter, Sarah, with her daughter Kiara, and of course, Great Grandma (Me).... The following photos were taken by Bruce.....

Who loves you baby (Kiara)......
WE ALL DO!!!!

Three Generations....

These next couple of pictures are with Lisa (My daughter the Grandmother), Sarah and Kiara....

Mommy (Sarah) and Kiara Marie

These next few photos are some of my favorites of Sarah and Kiara.... Mommy still trying to get the hang of dressing Kiara.... Hang in there Sarah, before you know it, you'll be doing it in your sleep... Of course with the sleepless nights you're getting now... who knows... maybe you are already... LOL
I wonder if we have enough pink??
Somebody's fussy and Mommy's trying to sooth her little girl.....

I made this matching blanket and scarf so Mommy and baby girl can style up together....

Feeding time for Kiara....

Snuggle time for Mommy & Kiara.....

I almost missed getting this photo.... I had carried Kiara into the bedroom to wake Mommy up and when I laid her next to her mother, her thumb accidently brushed against her little mouth and immediately she enhaled it and with much vigor, started sucking on it.....

I just love this photo because of the deep emotion and pure love on Sarah's face as she's looking down on her tiny little daugther.....

And last but not least.... My absolute favorite picture of my two grand daughters....

Sarah and Kiara.... A whole new world awaits the two of you.... It is my prayer that you'll discover new wonder and unending happiness at every turn on this road set before you... That God will watch closely over you and be your strength, your guide, and above all.... You feel HIS love and arms about you always....

Winter Has Arrived

October 20, 2006..... Winter arrived!!!.... SLAM BAM!!! I got out of work around 2 p.m. for an appointment and couldn't believe my eyes.... My car was covered!!.... Not realizing we had gotten so much snow in a short time, I didn't allow myself enough time to let the car warm up, so off I had to drive with foggy windows, wiping and praying all the way..... As you can see..... I did finally make it home safe and sound..... My little ole Pacifica still in one piece!!!

This is the view of our backyard from my open back doorway..... We still haven't got the grill or deck furniture put away... We thought we still might have one or two good grilling days left..... And hey... we're talking northern New York.... We still just might!!! Snow today.... gone tomorrow... already the sun is shining and snow is melting....

Those of you living in VA, SC, and Indiana.... look what you're missing!!!

Moonshine Anyone??

Finding new ways to play around with my camera, I got interested in trying to capture some good shots of the moon.... Here are a few I took when we had a full moon..... Some from last month and a few from this current month.....

Fall Has Arrived

Sunday afternoon, October 8, 2006... While our men were out playing a few rounds of golf, my good friend, Debbie and I decided it would be a good time for us to check out the Calcium walk-way..... The sky was so blue and totally cloudless, and we couldn't ask for warmer temperatures for early October.... Being anxious to get a few automn shots, I of course brought along my camera and the following pictures are a few of the ones I took along our walk..... Wasn't this pond just gorgeous.....

Bright colors surrounded us all along the pathway....

Getting a little creative with my lense and KODAK editing here....

These wild geese were along the far shore of the pond..... At first glance it looked like they were just floating about... But later at home and pulling them up on my computer for closer observation, I realized there must have also been a shallow area in the water beneath some of them, as some of them appeared to be standing on something rather then floating....

The pond was so beautiful with the sun glistening off it's surface.....

We managed to walk the full 4 miles of the trail ..... One beautiful sight after the other along the way... Wish I could have posted all my pictures, but alas, seems the blog can only tolerate a limited amount of photos at a time, and as always the case with me... I overextend my limits and usually get cut off.... But hope you enjoyed the "few" I was able to post.....

Kiara weighed in at 7 lbs 11oz and 20 inches long.... Both Sarah and Kiara are doing GREAT!! Bruce and I hope to make a trip down to Massachusetts to visit them near the end of the month.... Visit from Jay & Amy

October 2nd, 2006.... Bruce's oldest son, Jay, brought his girlfriend, Amy around for a visit on their way back to New Jersey.... We've been hearing about her, but this was our first opportunity to finally meet her.... Not only is she very pretty, but very nice as well.... A definite thumbs up Jay!! They were both at the house when I got home from work..... A quick change for me and then we were off to Red Lobster for dinner.... After dinner we went back to our place..... Jay and Amy feeling a little sleepy after our big meal... They still had a long trip to Albany ahead of them after they left our place.... And of course I had to get my camera into action... Here's Amy haming it up a little for the camera in this picture.... I asked her if Jay had prepared her for me and my camera... She said he had and Jay & Bruce actually had some kind of bet going as too how soon before I had it out after I got home....
A belated Birthday present for Bruce from Jay.... YOU GO GIANTS!!!
Then of course had to get Jay & Amy to pose ....
Definitely a cute couple don't you agree!!

We had a wonderful visit!! Thanks Jay for bringing Amy around so we could meet her.... Looking forward to future visits!!!
