Sights Along the Beach

During my visit, I also got to take several walks along the beach.... So thought I'd pick out some of the more interesting sights along the way and share them with you here.... This first photo is one of the many little walk-ways leading to the ocean .... This picture really doesn't do it justice.....

The sunrise reflecting over the ocean was just breath taking....

A little bird fighting the waves while looking for food.....

Not sure what these were or their purpose.... but isn't it just beautiful the way the waves crash against it.....

A guy with two yellow retrievers was walking along the beach.... He and one of them went in swimming, while the other watched them from shore......

And this Carolina seagull..... JUST FOR YOU VAL!!!.....

Sunrise off the boardwalk.....

We walked all the way to the end of this boardwalk and then on back and further down the beach before we were finished with our walk....

Here's a crab we came across during our walk.... Most of them scurried back underground as we approached, but this one held it's ground.....

The ocean seems to just go on and on forever doesn't it.....

Got this picture during one of our walks when the whole family went to the beach for the afternoon....

This was taken the same evening we went to explore the castle......

As we were headed back we spotted these two little girls playing by the water......

I spotted this ocean sponge along the way as well and thought it interesting enough to take a picture of....

A young brother and sister surfing..... They couldn't have been any older than 5 and 6....

Finally we made it back to where we started..... As beautiful as the morning was and all the views along our walk... It was still one hot morning.... Note the sweat on Olivia's back as she heads towards the car.....

I'm going to miss those walks along the beach.... besides the beauty of the ocean along the way, it was also great exercise..... Back to CURVES when I return home.... somehow just not the same...
