Sunday afternoon....6/11/06.... After church we all returned to our place .... Everyone ready to unwind and relax a little and maybe get in a few naps before we have our afternoon cookout (cook in most likely with the cold damp weather)..... Of course Mama Merredith ready with her camera....
Around 4:30 Vaughn & Debbie arrived...And Bruce and the guys had a good time filling them in on all the old stories.... And believe me... there were many to be told... Phil and Val playing around with the computer......
Everyone just sitting around sharing stories and Steve checking out Bruce's music....

After dinner and while we're were all still setting around the table.....I thought it would be neat to see if we could try for a group photo using the timer on my camera.... Not sure how it worked, I was uncertain whether I'd be able to pull it off.... Once I set the timer and pushed the button to take the picture, I had to make a mad dash to join the group and not only nearly missed being in the shot, nearly fell over as well.... Everyone got a good laugh of course.... We sat around the table for some time, more stories filling the air along with plenty of laughter, aching sides, and tear stained cheeks from laughing so hard..... Eventually we made our way from the table back into the living room.............. Here we have Steve, sharing his story about when he was afflicted with cancer many years back, and his long road to recovery and how he found the Lord along the way.....Finally the evening was turning into night fall an Vaughn and Debbie had to head home.... Before leaving though we got them to take a few pictures of all of us together...... I got this one of the two of them hamming it up for the camera as well.....
They also got several good shots of the 8 of us together... but I decided to just use this one for the blog.... After this we ended up calling it an early night..... Bruce and the boys had to get up at 3:30 a.m. the next morning to help Bruce do his route..... It should be interesting to hear how that works out...... And I'm sure there'll be some pretty tired boys by that day's end.....
