Getting Ready to Plant Palm Tree Seeds

During my visit, Olivia talked about how she wanted to grow her own Palm trees in their yard when they finally were able to buy their own home instead of renting.... She and Kyle decided to get an early start in that plan and one morning they headed off to find some Palm Tree seeds.....


These are what Palm Tree seeds look like....


When I asked Olivia where she was going to find Palm tree seeds, she said, "Out front".... Out front turned out to be in the median dividing a four lane highway from which is the turn off to their Apartment Complex.... Palm Trees line up and down it.....

Olivia and the boys preparing the seeds..... Once they got them placed in the seedling dishes, they set them out on the balcony of their apartment.....

The plan is that once the seeds take hold and start to produce signs of sprouting a Palm tree, they'll be moved to a larger pot where they'll grow until they move to a home of their own..... Sounds like a good plan to me....
