Guess Who's got a BRAND NEW TRUCK!!

Here it is folks.... Bruce's new Dodge Ram Truck (2007).....Of course it's a little incomplete as it appears in these following pictures... He gets to keep all the good stuff on his other truck, which once the trade is complete, he'll get busy putting them on this one... (like his new tannuau cover I got him for Christmas, his extended side view mirrors, snow tires, and those step up things by the doors...) The color is inferno red.... For the most part, I'm not usually fond of the color red in vehicles, but his has one has a sparkly look to it, wherein it isn't so bright ....

The interior is a tannish color....and note the silver around the dash board.... and oh yeah, it also has that sirrus radio station thing on it....

The odometer is white, although you can't see it that well in this photo...

The back seats will lift up, so he can store stuff if he wants.....

AND SHOULD I NOT FORGET TO MENTION.... IT'S A HEMI!!!

Here's a picture of the motor for the guys out there....

Not totally on board with getting her in the first place, but have to admit, she's a beauty.... so guess we'll be keeping her for awhile.....

So there we have it.... Bruce's new work horse in all her glory!!!

Off The Road

2/19/07.... I thought since I had the day off from work, I'd take an hour or two to drive around and see if I could find some good winter scenery to take pictures of..... I found a spot that looked pretty good and pulled off to the side of the road... A little too far off I'm afraid to say.... Thankfully, a couple of good Samaritans came along and pulled me out..... After my little adventure, I decided to stick closer to home and headed off in that direction....

2007 Church Variety Show

TAG (Teens After God).... This is the name of our youth group at church, led by their Youth Leaders, the husband and wife team of Troy and Sarah M..... This is their second year putting on the Variety Show to raise money towards their summer mission trips to other countries....

Troy and Sarah working hard getting things set up for the evening's performances.... No easy task either I might add....

Before the show began, Sarah lead everyone in some worship songs....

Bruce visiting with a few of our friends, while waiting for the show to begin... I made him sit in the front row so he could take pictures of our act "The Zionettes", which would also be the 2nd act up..... Once our act finished, I then joined him and finished taking pictures of the acts to follow.....

Little Solana enjoying the songs and music.....

Of course you can't have a Variety Show without MC's.... Jason E. and Shannon F. ... ... I might also add that they did a fantastic job... they were an act in themselves....

The first act up: Sam W. .... who played the piano and sang beautifully.... LIKE A PRO!!! Fantastic job... SAM!! Hope we hear more from you in the future....

Then our moment was upon us.... The Zionettes... Dancing and (lip syncing) to the song, "My Guy", which of coarse was sung "My God".... (left to right... Kathy E., Patty G., Debbie S., Becky E., ME, and Linda S...... One fine group of women and one very fine act... EAT YOUR HEARTS OUT ROCKETTS!!!!

Next act up.... The Dynamites.....

Becky, Katy, and Nicole followed with their song and dance routine (sorry girls... can't remember the name of your group).... Lots of energy and talent here folks.... but of course they had to really work it to keep up with the Zionettes....

The King Family performed two songs together.... GREAT JOB!!

Young Sean A. .... playing his guitar and singing.... Great job Sean!!

The "American Idol" show up next.... Uncle Paul was "Andy", Abby L. was Paula, and Scott F., everyone's favorite Idol judge... SIMON!! They each did a great job mimicking the famous American Idol trio... Especially Abby.... Abby... you were Paula!!.....

First "American Idol" want to be.... Nicole, giving it all she had... unfortunately... she was turned away... much to her dismay.... and she stormed off......

Katy up next.... She was so sure she would be selected.... Again... shot down by the terrible dual...

Micki even got into the act.... singing a love song to her husband, because she forgot to get him something for Valentine's Day and was hoping if she got on American Idol it would make up for it..... Next act please.......

Poor Becky... sung her heart out.... sang perfectly... but none the less.... she was turned away too..... She shared her grief with the announcer.... (John B.).... poor thing... could barely contain her disappointment.....

Then there was Jason..... giving it his all..... (in my opinion... didn't give enough) and believe it or not... he was accepted....

Here are American Idol judges grooving with one of the contestants.....

Next act to follow the "American Idol" performance....Emily D., who has been away to college, but returned to perform with a song she wrote herself.... Beautiful job Emily... It was good having you home for a visit....

Patty G.... did one of her famous art projects.....

While Patty was doing the chalk art... her husband, Walter.... added to her act, buy acting like a preacher trying to preach to his congregation with the church choir behind him acting up throughout his sermon..... We got to see another side to Connie B. then what we're use to seeing (on the far right)....

Next act... The great Farnnack.... mimicking an old Night Show act with Johnny Carson and his side kick, Ed McMahon, protrayed by Uncle Paul and Will F... Uncle Paul cracking up at one of their jokes in the act......

The Great Farnnack..... getting perplexed with Uncle Paul...... Will you've definitely missed your calling.... You belong on the stage!!!

Mandee W.... playing the guitar and singing.... You did a wonderful job Mandee.... We need to hear more from you too....

Can't remember the name of this group either.... sorry guys.... But let me tell you... GREAT ACT!!! Laughter filled the house.....

Now this following act was another great one ..... Remember those commercials on TV for car insurance where a regular person tells their story in very few words and a professional person then repeats it from their much longer and more dramatic point of view... Well here we have Joe E. as the Run-of-the-Mill Christian.... and who better then Pastor Mike as the interpreter.... FUNNY.... VERY VERY FUNNY!!! Both were perfect for the part they played......

Scott F. and Katy L. ..... Did one of their famous Mime acts.... to the song, "Come to Jesus"... Beautifully done..... AS ALWAYS!!!.....

Last.... but certainly not least.... Vaughn ended the show with a song.... Beautifully sung, I might add....
Another successful Variety Show..... Every act was spectacular.... Great Job... EVERYONE!!! Can't wait for next year's Variety Show..... Who knows.... I just might find myself in that one too... and hey... who knows... maybe even Bruce will get into the act next year.....

6th Annual Horse Shoe Tournament....2007

The sky was bleak and snow was already beginning to fall at a steady pace....

The Horse Shoe Pits are ready for action....

An outside fire going in the neat little fire pit Debbie's brother, Doug, brought to the game to warm the fellas between matches.....

Vaughn said he asked for 20 degree temperatures and plenty of snow fall to keep the Tournament interesting... He got what he asked for ..... AND THEN SOME!!!

Our vehicles lined the street on both sides....

Here comes Don D., greeted by Debbie's Dad..... ready to get started.....

One of the last of the women to arrive.... Donna C. She had a hair appointment prior to arriving...
Love your new Do, Donna....
