Hallelujah Hunnies Have Dinner at Penera... 1/8/07

First Monday of the month of January (1/8/07)... Time for the Hallelujah Hunnies to meet for our once a month dinner.... This time Penera Bread... Debbie's choice... And a very good one... lots of really good stuff to choose from.... Here we're just checking out the choices on the menus while waiting for some of the other girls to show up.... A new visitor to our little gathering... Joanne P. ... Linda S. brought her and we're hoping that now she's met us... she won't be scared away and will decide to join us on a regular basis.... If you notice.... she's wearing a tag on the front of her shirt... It's a picture of her all decked out in red hat apparel from a visit to Las Vegas.... Not sure the story behind it... you know what they say..."What happens in Vegas....stays in Vegas"....
All the girls have arrived..... time to make our orders.......

Hard choices to make.....

Our Queen and Vice Mums made their choices and are ready to dig in..... mmmm mmmm good!!!..

Nice choice Queen Mum..... French onion soup in a bread bowl... now how unique is that... and that's a brownie cake topped with raspberry ...... She was a very good girl and shared her brownie cake with us.....

And another good choice for the Vice Mum..... Broccili and chedder soup in a bread bowl, along with a side sandwich..... They make really great sandwiches here.... I can't wait to return and try out some of their other ones on the menu.....

I also had an onion soup in a bread bowl, along with a ham & cheese (1/2) sandwich .... Very, very good..... as well as very, very filling..... but well worth every bite and every calorie I know I packed on... Glad I went to CURVES before here.....

This is a ceaser salad & sandwich...... Can't remember who ordered this one... Maybe Debbie?? Or maybe Betty??.....

Time to get down to serious business...... eat and catch up on the latest news with everyone...

Joanne and Linda......

Linda also had another picture tagged to the back of her hat..... cute idea....

Here's another new member to our group...Jan and next to her is our latest pink hatter....Kim M..... Kim's first evening out with the red hatters... Welcome aboard Kim... look forward to having you in our group...

And here's Debbie posing along with Lil and her sister in law, Kathy..... Smile pretty for the camera girls....

I turned the camera over to Debbie so she could get this shot of me and Betty (to the left) and Sandy.... Sandy's had a very full schedule for some time now, and finally was able to join us last night... what a wonderful surprise... We've really missed you Sandy.... Welcome back!!!!

Had to get this close up of Lil's hat... isn't it just beautiful.....

Didn't get their names.... but these two ladies were very helpful in helping us get set up for our dinner and making the occasional stop by our table to see if we needed anything... To tell you the truth.. I think they were just simply amazed with us and how grand we all looked in our red and purple splendor!!!.....

Ms Linda S...... She's trying to get us all organized for the next Red Hat birthday party in the Bay this coming spring (June I think).... not an easy job when you have this many ladies to work out schedules with.... but she's diligent and she gets r done..... Thanks for all your hard work and efforts Linda.... we really do appreciate all you do.....

Lil has been trying to put together a list of all our names, addresses, phone numbers, birth dates, etc etc and came up with this neat little card where all we had to do is fill in all our information and then she'll compile it all together and at our next meeting we should all have updated info on each other..... Great idea and great job Lil!!!! You go girl!!!!.... (Love that hat)....

Well another great meal and great time out with the Hallelujah Hunnies.... Next month.... We're hitting Cracker Barrel.... and I'm in charge of setting up for March.... I'm seriously shooting for the Texas Road House... we would have made that our February hit, but it doesn't open until much later in the month....

Penera's evening manager, Memory, was also very helpful in helping us get set up for our dinner.... At the end of our meal, she came by the table again and I had her pose with our Queen Mum and her Vice Mum..... Thanks, Memory and Penera Bread.... You have a very fine establishment and GREAT food.... always an important consideration in picking out our food establishments.... There'll definitely be a return visit here in the future......
Memory volunteered to take this group picture of all of us.... She did a pretty good job don't you agree!!!..... Thanks again Memory!!

Ok girls... don't forget.... First Monday of February.... Cracker Barrel..... See ya all there!!!

Visit with old friends.... Fred & Beth

After nearly 7 years, we got a visit from some old and very dear friends, Fred & Beth D. ..... Fred who is a Medic with the U.S. Army, and his wife, Beth, have traveled to many interesting places since they moved away (thanks to Uncle Sam)... They've spent a great deal of their time in Germany, but the last 3 years have lived in Washington State. They will soon be leaving for another tour in Germany (once again). After this morning's church service, we met at our favorite breakfast place (Cracker Barrel) ...... It was very interesting to listen to some of their stories of the different places and people they've met in their travels..... Here's Fred and Beth posing in front of Cracker Barrel's huge fire place.... Fred took this one of us three girls..... Me, Beth, & Debbie.... A lovely Rose between two old thorns.... (sorry Debbie)....
Debbie's husband, Vaughn, was home sick... so Fred gave him a call here to see how he was doing....
I took this one of Beth & Debbie.....

Fred wanted to get a picture of all of us sitting in the rocking chairs.... Actually, I'm in the photo he took with his camera, and he's in this one, taken with my camera.....
Fred & Beth, we really enjoyed seeing both of you again after all these years... Hope all goes well in Germany.... but hope that it won't be so long before your next visit ..... And Fred... Look forward to getting those pictures we talked about..... I'm sure you'll get some great ones while traveling about in Europe.....
