GRAND PRIZE WINNER IN PHOTO CONTEST!!

Well after all the pictures I've taken through the years, you all had to know the day was coming when I'd have to enter a photo contest along the way.... AND I DID.... Actually, I entered a contest last year, but didn't even come close to winning... But didn't really think I would... My main interest at that time was to enter and scope out the winning photographs and LEARN.... Learn what I wasn't doing right, and learn techniques on how to at least get on display at the next contest, and who knows... maybe down the line, I might even win one.... Well this year's contest's theme was "So Many Difference, So Much Alike".... And I'm thinking to myself there is nothing I can come up with and came very close to just passing this year off... Then while rummaging through some old photographs I came across a photo I had taken last summer during Matt & Tasha's visit.... Bruce, Matt, and Chandler were relaxing out in the back yard, and while I was keeping busy snapping photos of everyone, snapped this one of the three of them as well..... And this folks, is my GRAND PRIZE WINNER!!!! And they definitely fit the them title.... So many differences... so much alike...

We were allowed to enter two photos.... So I also entered the "Mothers-in-Law".... I took this photo at our family reunion last summer.... The hands belong to my Aunt Bett, and her daughter in law's mother.... It seems whenever my Aunt and she would get together, she would want to hold my Aunt's hand.... SNAP!! Couldn't resist taking the picture.... Rumor has it that this photo came very close to becoming "Honorable Mention" but that they finally selected another.... which is way fine with me.... the other photographer did a grand job and deserved it!!!

Here I am receiving my prize.... which consists of $100.00, a $100.00 Gift Certificate for local photos shop, and a very nice Award Certificate!!

Bruce was on the ball and even got a picture of the sign set up in the reception area....

Then we all had to pose for a group photo.... The four winners to the left... The three to the right are a student at the college, the Head of the college, and the owner of the local photo shop....
